How does your fair usage policy work?
ICE Data monitor the usage of the panel service 24x7, the unique ID that you are issued with once your access is approved allows ICE to determine your panel service usage. ICE will monitor the level of usage and will discuss with you whether it is approaching the stage that an upgrade should be considered necessary. At this point you may be asked to upgrade or start restricting access to the panels on your own website in order to reduce loading.
Can I have additional data or formats that are not in the panels?
As the ICE Data panels are free, the range data and format options are limited. If you need more flexibility for your site or more extensive data you should upgrade to ICE Data XML web service.
Are there service restrictions on accessing data via XML web services?
Yes, ICE Data monitor the usage of the XML web service 24x7, the unique ID that you are issued with once your access is approved,
allows ICE to determine your web service usage. Certain services are restricted by frequency of request others are
limited by time of day, full restrictions are outlined in the API documentation available following your application. Your maximum update frequency will be a request every 30 seconds.
Is ICE OTC data available on the feed?
No, only Futures contracts are on the XML feed. OTC access is available via a subscription to Webice.
What time zone is used in the Timestamp field?
All data delivered via the XML service is displayed as GMT, this is local London time except during Summer Time which falls between the last Sunday of March and the last Sunday of October.
What software do I need to use XML web services?
ICE support certain development platforms compatible with XML web services as standard with full support
like those supplied by Sun Microsystems or Microsoft. However any platform may be used that is web services compliant but
the user may not be able to obtain full support for the platform in question
How do I go about becoming a Real-time Market Data Vendor?
An ICE market data vendor is licensed to redistribute ICE prices as a real-time continuous stream,
real-time snapshot, delayed continuous stream, delayed snapshot or historical data format.
ICE market data vendors can either redistribute market data as a direct or indirect vendor.
